About This Sale

This is the kind of auction our regular buyers watch the calendar for. The gallery fills with the contents of estates and long-held private collections — carved case pieces and dining suites, framed oils and watercolors, sterling flatware and hollowware, blue-and-white and famille rose porcelain, bronzes, hand-knotted rugs, cut glass, cased clocks, and the lamps, mirrors and decorative objects that furnished some of Central Louisiana's finest homes.

Everything sells to the highest bidder on auction day. That is what makes an estate auction worth a Saturday morning: pieces that would carry retail antique-shop prices find their level in the room, and a patient buyer often takes home something well above what they came for and well below what they expected to pay.

Whether you furnish with antiques, collect in a specific category, deal in the trade, or are simply looking for one exceptional piece with a story behind it, this sale is worth your attention. Photographs and full lot descriptions are added to the online catalog as cataloging progresses.
